We
are merging 0ur 2 newsletters: Images and Images Now!
We hope you like this integrated version.
We photographed and travelled to 4 continents
in the first 6 months of 2010 and then stayed home
to reintroduce ourselves to our 5 grandchildren. A
major departure from our world travels of the last 5
years we simply stayed home. With the exception of
a fun family trip to Disneyland and local family camping
trips we went nowhere!
After visiting and photographing ethnic
communities and cultures (eg. long
neck tribes of Northern Thailand, Panama
jungle villages, Nubian
villages, on the Nile and Amazon River Boi
Bumba cultural festivals) David's passion for
photographing ethnic peoples didn' take a holiday. He
visited and photographed local
Vancouver cultural festivals over the summer
including Greek, Indian, Gay Pride and Canada Day
events. He also conducted several photography
classes & camera workshops and corporate industrial
photography tutoring sessions and completed several
product photography and family portrait sessions.
Anna actually created several amazing
quilts and fabric arts projects. She even started to
sort out her new collection of world fabrics (well
sort of...). When our local West Vancouver, BC community
learned that we were home this Fall we were invited to
give Travel Photography, Thailand Adventure and Bucket
List for Seniors speeches and presentations at the
local library. We are expanding our topics
and our key note speaking engagements to reach travel,
corporate, photo conference and customer
appreciation events.
Life was starting to return to normal but
as you all know we are absolutely passionate about
travel adventure, fabric arts and photography - and
talking about it! Grass does not grow under our
feet so we have already accepted bookings with
cruise lines and our independent travel to visit 5
continents in 2011. Photography and travel writing
assignment enquires are welcome.
Our major travel destinations in 2011:
Hawaii Mexico,
Central & South America,
Caribbean Western
Mediterrannean Eastern

One of David's images of Guatemalan women
fruit sellers has been selected as an editor's choice in
Europe's Canon Professional Network (CPN)
competition of travel, landscape and architecture images
worldwide. During September CPN readers from around the
world submitted their travel, landscape and architecture
images for review by GEO Saison Picture Editor Karin
Rogers. In a multimedia
presentation she chooses 32 pictures and
talks in detail about her favourite ones.
Our article and photo essay on Thailand's "Koh
Samui – a Thai Island Stress Buster" was
published in the December 2010 issue of Tropical
Magazine and will be online shortly. See
our Koh
Samui photo gallery.
